Andrew from Royal Pro Heating Ltd. has been doing regular maintenance on our gas fireplace for several years. He always does a great job. He is knowledgeable, professional, polite, always arrives on time and works in a clean and efficient manner. Here was here this morning and it was the usual positive experience. We had a leaking hot water tank and thought we had to purchase a replacement. Called Andrew to service it and in the process he was able to confirm it was still under warranty and saved us from purchasing a new one. He was prompt to see us and install the replacement tank at a fair price. Great service and pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend.

n January 2024, I hired Royal Pro Heating to install a new HVAC system (heat pump and furnace). After installation, the system failed to cool the home adequately. This issue persisted for over six months.<br><br>Despite multiple service visits, the problem remained unresolved. I was repeatedly told the system was functioning properly, even though it clearly was not. He would see it at 78F and claim it was normal. Eventually, many months later, Royal Pro Heating paid for a third-party HVAC specialist to assess the system. That technician identified serious deficiencies and commented that whoever installed the system doesn’t know what they are doing. Following that, further repairs were made—including the installation of a missing filter dryer—which helped but the system still does not cool the home sufficiently.<br><br>I also raised concerns about inflated charges—for example, a $499 cost for an Ecobee thermostat that typically retails for significantly less—and the delays, mismanagement, and lack of accountability throughout the process.<br><br>In the end, the compensation offered was not sufficient or fair, and the matter remains unresolved.<br><br>After reaching an agreed upon amount, Andrew provided amended agreements at the last minute changing the scope of the agreement. He has forced me to sign to say that the system works adequately, which it does not. Then once wording was made more appropriate he then subtly added wording to void his warranty. This has dragged on since February and the final resolution has been delayed due to his unusual approach in adding new terms and dragging things on day after day. He seems to have no intention of rectifying the matter. Save yourself the time and energy and find a company that knows what they are doing and that doesn’t gaslight and evade accountability.

Andrew and his team installed a new high efficiency furnace and dual fuel heat pump system (AC!) for us three weeks ago. Their team was efficient, reliable and very professional. They did an excellent job with the interior & exterior ducting and ensuring everything was sealed. Our home is East facing and gets pretty hot. Since our new unit was installed--our home has been cool and comfortable even on the hottest day! This was not our first time working with Royal Pro Heating-we have known Andrew since 2018 (hot water tank replacement, annual furnace & duct servicing). He is always polite, reliable and goes the extra mile. I needed help with the rebate application and he was super helpful and responsive! Highly recommend them.

Andrew and his team were great. Highly recommend. We had a dual heating system install. Andrew's team were respectful of our property and took the care of detail in the installs. The price was fair and the quality of work was superior. The team was a bunch of good guys who kept us updated throughout the install. Our furnace went out of commission about a month ago and I called Royal pro heating as I had used them previously to fix an issue a few years ago. Had great service by owner Andrew back then and 5 star service this time around! We decided to just go with them to replace furnace and add on AC unit as Andrew informed me that fortis is offering a great $10k rebate on the combo! He and his technician came in and got the job done for the heat pump part and had to come back to finish up the AC unit! They were very professional n we would highly recommend them as they are certified by fortis as well. The only thing I would recommend is if u get AC unit make sure u think of all options as to where you want the pump to go. I should have it directed more to other side of house with less traffic n out of site as it's a big unit. But overall this is just minor thing! We have AC now not that we have used it due to winter. Andrew was super helpful filling out rebate and he provided all pics n documents you need. Rebate take a while. I'm still waiting. Update! My approval email came through after 2 months of sending in the application. I did application a day or two after the job was done. Fortis says it will take up to 4 weeks for cheque to arrive so be prepared to pay interest on borrowed money unless u have $10k -15k sitting around. This has nothing to do with the job or company all fortis. I 💯 recommend this company but thought people should know the wait time.

Andrew helped me avoid a major scam. My furnace stopped working. The first technician I hired told me that the furnace needed to be replaced, which would cost thousands of dollars. Seeking second opinion, I contacted Andrew. Within a few minutes, he discovered two unplugged wires and a burned fuse. After he fixed these issues, the furnace started running like new. He went and spoke with the worker who turned out to be the owner who said he could come take a look in just a few minutes, and sure enough he did. He was so kind and helpful, turns out it was of course something so silly, we hadn’t noticed the breaker switch was just turned off. But he helped us free of charge out of the kindness of his heart. Andrew was referred to me by a friend as my fireplace stopped working. Andrew came out the very next day right on time. He properly diagnosed the problem (which a previous company had misdiagnosed), installed the correct new part, adjusted the flame, explained to me how my fan automatically worked ( I had been shutting it on and off manually) and provided me with a very reasonable invoice. My furnace was not working properly after a power outage. Called Andrew in the morning, and he came 40 minutes later. He took the time to carefully diagnose the problem using process of elimination of each component. He then came back in the afternoon to complete the repair. Andrew was transparent, responsive, and on-time. I was very glad I found him to come service the furnace, instead of some brand name company that can only schedule me in until 2 weeks later. This is the second time I have used Royale Furnace to service and maintain my gas fireplace. I would highly recommend this company and Andrew, the service technician, is very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. I without a doubt, will be using them again.

Royal Furnace came out on the same morning that I called and fixed my furnace!...Prompt service.

I knew something about hydronic furnaces but was having trouble figuring out this problem so called Andrew. After telling me it was my batteries, and then my thermostats (all of them?) and unwiring those, he told me that I had the wrong pressure regulator (works fine), backflow preventer (yes I knew it was not set up right but this was not causing my problem), dripping valve (also not causing my problem), air separator noisy (also not causing my problem) and quoted me 850 dollars to fix all the above. I really didn't think this was going to help my problem and then he told me if it didn't we could move on to the circulation pump and replace that. Which I also knew wasn't the problem. The problem was I wasn't getting enough pressure in the system.<br>After he left I spent a couple hours looking at it again and found out it was the valve attached to the expansion tank that was jammed with junk and not allowing any flow through to the system. Once I cleaned that out, and then went around the house rewiring all the thermostats, everything worked fine.<br>I think Andrew knows how to replace parts and probably the thing he likes to replace most is the entire furnace system. The problem is he really doesn't know his stuff, and is just playing a guessing game which gets expensive for the homeowner. I am not saying he was trying to take me for a ride, he seemed to genuinely want to help. Also his English was not great and that made it difficult to communicate on anything more than the basics. I doubt he has been in this business for very long.

Andrew is excellent! We phoned him at 7:00 p.m. and we weren't expecting him to be able to help us until the next day at the earliest. However, he gave us advice over the phone and then actually came over at 9:00 pm that day. He had the parts needed in his vehicle. He repaired the furnace quickly and knowledgeably. He said his work is guaranteed for a year. Very glad we called.

One of my pressure water pipe going to my boiler furnace was leaked & my garage ceiling was damaged. I need a very urgent attention to repair the problem & I call my specialist furnace ROYAL HEATING (Andrew) to visit my place to see the problem in spite of very busy schedule he is still manage to insert appointment with me in the next day just to fix my leaking pipe. Th best point I like this company, while the problem is going in the middle of the night, we did a video chat just to help me by giving instruction for temporary to stop water leak without any fees.<br>In short my problem fixed in the next day. And he also checked other parts if necessary to replace or not. The most I like this company, he's fees is excellent not expensive if I compare to other company & I guaranteed with that.
